In Spring, one of the first flowers to emerge are narcissus (heirloom daffodils). These aren’t your average bright yellow blooms, but instead, a lovely mix of white, coral, and salmon. Our specialty tulips also provide a burst of color in the spring months. Cold hardy annuals accompany these blooms, such as sweet peas, larkspur, and snapdragons.
In Summer, the warmer weather brings on the colorful spikes of gladiolus. Annuals to expect are cosmos, snapdragon, strawflower, and zinnia. Later in the season, one of our favorite flowers really takes the stage – dahlias. We have roughly 120 cultivars, so you can anticipate a wide variety of colors, textures, and sizes. As Summer days begin to grow shorter, sunflowers make their appearance.
